The Alaska Department of Transportation is performing Avalanche Control Work on the Seward Highway and the Sterling Highway, this morning. The work began at 9 a.m., and continues until Noon. DOT says the work includes locations on the Seward Highway between Bird Creek and Portage. There will also be work at the intersection of the Seward Highway and the Sterling Highway. Motorists should expect delays up to 45 minutes between 9 a.m. and Noon.
