Bi-Annual Community Awareness Workshop

The LeeShore Center will be holding its bi-annual Community Awareness Workshop on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault October 6-10, 2008 from 9am-5pm daily. Topics to be covered include domestic violence, sexual assault, the effects of domestic violence on children, the agency's Batterer's Intervention Program, and volunteering with shelter clients. The public is invited and may attend a portion or the entire workshop. Continuing education credit may be attained after completion of the workshop and 30 hours of volunteer work with The LeeShore Center.

Diabetes Classes Offered Through Soldotna Community Schools Program

The classes will meet the second Tuesday of each month 6-7:30 PM. The first session is titled "The ABC's Of Diabetes." Come and learn the ABC's of heart disease prevention for people with diabetes. Wear walking shoes and comfortable clothes for hall walking after class. Cost of class is $5.00 per session and scholarship money is available. Call to register.

Annual Harvest Art Exhibition and Auction
